Since January 2023, Dennis Dodson joined San Dieguito Engineering after selling his Santa Barbara land surveying firm that he founded in 2000. Dennis’ experience as a land surveyor started soon after graduating from college. Dennis began his surveying career in 1980 working for Odom Offshore Surveys Inc. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana locating pipelines, wellheads and conducting sea floor mapping. In 1987, he moved to Santa Barbara where he became involved with boundary, construction and topographic surveys as well as Parcel Maps and Record of Surveys working for MNS Engineers where Dennis became a professional Land Surveyor in California in 1996. In 1998, Dennis purchased the firm of Garner Land Surveying, Inc. and changed the name to Dodson Land Surveying Inc. in 2000. As founder and owner, he successfully ran the business and managed up to 5 people, responsible for 1-2 crews until 2021 when the business was sold. It continues to run successfully to this day under the name of WW Surveying. Inc.
