Coast Boulevard Sea Cave Emergency Stabilization Project
When a section of La Jolla Cove known as “Cook’s Crack” began to fail, SDE responded rapidly to support emergency stabilization efforts. Our team collected critical aerial and topographic data to assess the collapse and develop accurate design information. Working under tight time constraints, SDE delivered the necessary drawings and data to the response team within just three days, enabling swift and effective action to protect the site.
SDE performed an aerial topographic mapping and supplemental ground survey for the purposes of providing a topographic base map to be used for design and repair of that portion of Coast Blvd. The limits of the survey were from back of sidewalk to back of sidewalk beginning at 1205 Coast Boulevard and ending at 1256 Coast Boulevard. The topographic mapping survey included street improvements, utilities, traffic striping and other man-made features within the survey limits.
SDE also provided construction staking for the new improvements.
