San Dieguito Engineering, Inc. (SDE) has successfully wrapped up a key project in Carlsbad, California, bringing new improvements and enhanced accessibility to the neighborhood. The firm recently completed the entitlement process for a Condominium Final Map (MS No. 2021-0005), marking the first of its kind to include sidewalk improvements that comply with ADA requirements—an important step in converting a residential property from a duplex to a condominium on Levante Street.
As part of the project’s final approval requirements, SDE oversaw the construction of a new, ADA-compliant sidewalk within the public Right-Of-Way—ensuring safer and more inclusive access for everyone in the community.

SDE’s involvement included a full range of services: from conducting the boundary survey and topographic mapping to preparing and submitting the construction drawing to pave a new sidewalk for the existing site.

The project team included Senior Planner Garth Koller, who guided the subdivision through the planning process, and Joshua Reeves, PE, who served as the Engineer of Work, ensuring all technical and regulatory standards were met.
With this project now complete, San Dieguito Engineering continues its commitment to “Positively Impact our Communities”.
