Jacobs Program Manager presented SDE a “Certificate of Recognition for Process Improvements and Innovation” for our contribution for SUE mapping for Sempra Energy/SDG&E Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan (PSEP) at the Annual PSEP Survey Meeting.
Due to our utility mapping and engineering expertise, SDE was acknowledged as being a large contributor to the success of utility mapping throughout the San Diego region. SDE was invited to assist in developing the PSEP SUE Guidelines, co-authored by Ivan Fox, Principal Engineer and COO at SDE, which will be implemented throughout the project for the remaining years of PSEP.
SDE’s work included record research of existing and future facilities within the proposed gas pipeline, mapping of all record information, coordination with subsurface utility field investigations and surveying crews to incorporate field data into the base maps for the design engineers.
SDE has mapped over 20 miles of utility corridors for the project. Seven miles of line has been constructed in 2014 with no casualties. Construction of the remaining lines will continue through 2016.
